About ADAGRAD

ADAGRAD focuses on solving real-life problems with the help of AI and Machine Learning. Their main focus in the field of Image processing, natural language processing, and reinforcement learning. ADAGRAD use edge computing devices like NVIDIA Jetson modules to deploy their systems

Collaboration:

My collaboration with ADAGRAD was through a mutual friend who was part of the ADAGRAD team. ADAGRAD wanted to develop their own custom carrier boards to accommodate NVIDIA Jetson Modules (NX, NANO, and TX2NX). Because of the growing demand and the vast applications, NVIDIA limited themselves with the development modules, and support to production modules was less.

Our support and learnings :

I worked along with one more friend and we studied the existing NVIDIA Jetson development boards. We understood the circuits of all the development boards and designed them based on the NVIDIA design guide. But because of the chip shortage, we had to look out for alternate components available in the market and redesign based on their availability.

Key Roles/ Responsibilities :

Team Lead, Prototype Development Engg

My Task 

  • Designed the layout of the custom carrier board with one more design engineer  

  • Was responsible for components selection and order during the chipset shortage time

  • Was part of the procurement team for both PCB and Components from China.

  • Worked with local manufacturing and SMT assembly companies to rework QFN packages 

  • Soldered and debugged the circuits  

  • Worked with the ADAGRAD software team to validate the board's performance

  • 1X SD card slot

  • 1X M2 connector

  • 1X Micro USB recovery

  •  Header breakouts for:

  • GPIOs, I2C, SPI, UART communication​

  • Additional Functions: Supports Power ON self-starting, Power Protection (UVP, OVP, Short), All ESD protection.
